That's a lot of useful stuff
To be honest, I usually keep my cooking setup a bit more minimalistic like this set. I just liked the idea of the kelly kettle so I wanted to give it a try for some time now.
This set is too big for extended hikes or a bugout bag but it's perfect for everything where you have room and something that carries heavier loads for you. So take it in your camping van or on your next trip by horse. It also works great as a backup cooking solutions for blackouts in your home.
My main use for the set though is purely recreational. I put it in my backpack, go to a close by riverbank and use it provide a meal, tea etc.
Of course, you can always boil water or heat a meal in every sort of fire but the kelly is very fast, produces less smoke and uses only a few twigs. It's easily set up and broken down. So it's good when you don't want or can't afford to set up a big campfire.
The extra tools come in handy when you don't want to eat straight out of the pot or when you split between people.
What surprised me the most is how versatile the whole set is. I expected boiling water and a few extras. But with the whole set you can boil water, have a pan, a pot, a grill and tools to connect them. For example you can boil water and use the chimney to heat something else in the pot. Or when you're done boiling water, you take off the kettle and pot on the hobo part. So you can just go on with the embers you made and cook something else.

Super uporabna zadeva
Osebno imam že od prej aluminijast Trecker (je res zelo lahek in ožji) pa sem ga raje opustil zaradi toksičnosti aluminija. Zaradi praktičnosti pri uporabi priloženih dodatkov sem raje izbral srednjim modelom Scoutom. Trecker je žal v praksi (vsaj zame) manj uporaben pri uporabi dodatkov. Ognjena posoda ima enostavno premajhen diameter za bolj resno uporabo. Vsekakor je zaradi večjega volumna in teže uporaba Scouta bolj primerna za potovanja, družinske izlete, vikende in kampiranja, taborjenja kjer se do lokacij pripeljemo z vozilom. Gorivo zanj pa nam je vedno na voljo povsod. Tudi ob izpadu elektrike mi je moj Trecker že nekajkrat prišel prav.
