Waterproof Paramedyk Battle Chest Seal Vented with hydrogel adhesive is used to treat sucking chest wounds and has an innovative design with ventilation channels that prevent airflow into the chest cavity during breathing, while allowing both, the air in the pleural cavity and the blood and other fluids released from the wound to escape, reducing the pressure pneumothorax.
The transparent structure of the dressing allows for precise application to the wound and then provides full control of the wound surface, while the large handles make it easier to stick the dressing on and off the wound surface.
BCS meets all current ITLS, TCCC and TECC guidelines for the treatment of penetrating thoracic injuries, the dressing doesn't contain latex and doesn't cause irritation or allergies.
