Merino wool
Merino wool is common in high-end, performance athletic wear. Typically meant for use in running, hiking, skiing, mountain climbing, cycling, and in other types of outdoor aerobic exercise. Today, Merinos are still regarded as having some of the finest and softest wool of any sheep. Merino wool is optimal in regulating body temperature and superior to synthetic materials in almost every way.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is recognized seal of quality for textile products made only from harmless to health materials. Each product is tested by the independent European Research Institute and is assured to apply to standardized criteria that limit the use of hazardous chemicals in their manufacture. Oeko-Tex standard guarantees skin-friendly Ph of the material, absence of allergenic and potential carcinogenic dyes or similar side fumes containing heavy metals and consistency with the threshold values for pesticides.
Schoeller merino wool
Lasting merino shirts are made from Schoeller merino yarn. Schoeller is leading producer of professional textile fabrics in the world. Best known for softshell used in sport, alpine climbing and expeditions, and by professionals, Schoeller now produces best baselayer yarns as well, including but not limited to superfine merino wool.
Naturally fire retardant
Merino wool has a very high ignition temperature (570-600 °C), it does not melt or stick upon burning, rather, it forms an insulating char. Wool requires higher levels of oxygen in the surrounding environment in order to burn. Wool may ignite if exposed to naked flame but it wont support the flame and will instead smoulder, usually for a short time. Take the flame away and it goes out.
