FAQ (shipping, payments, return policy)

Spaio Merino Wool W02 underwear will keep you warm and dry in every condition. Merino does not cause itching as it is very soft and pleasant to the touch. Within the inner fibers there are little air ducts that provide perfect thermal insulation of the body. The unique structure of the fabric reveals bacteriostatic (prevents the growth of micro-organisms) and non-allergenic features; it does not absorb odors so it can be worn even for several days without washing.

Merino wool

Merino wool is common in high-end, performance athletic wear. Typically meant for use in running, hiking, skiing, mountain climbing, cycling, and in other types of outdoor aerobic exercise. Today, Merinos are still regarded as having some of the finest and softest wool of any sheep.

Merino Wool

Appropriate for all sports and working activities

Thermoactive underwear is appropriate for all sports and working activities, it fits well, does not limit our movements and it does not get stuck in other layers of clothes. Discreet colours are appropriate for wearing it under an uniform or other work clothes.

Insulation and wicking

The wool provides warmth, without overheating the wearer. It draws moisture (sweat) away from the skin, a phenomenon known as wicking. The fabric is slightly moisture repellent (keratin fibers are hydrophobic at one end and hydrophilic at the other), allowing the user to avoid the feeling of wetness.

Keeps natural body's temperature

Merino is excellent at regulating body temperature, especially when worn against the skin.

Insulation even when wet

Like cotton, wool absorbs water (up to 1/3 its weight), but, unlike cotton, wool retains warmth when wet,

Merino is one of the softest types of wool available, due to finer fibers and smaller scales.

Warmth to weight ratio

Merino has an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio compared to other wools, in part because the smaller fibers have microscopic cortices of dead air, trapping body heat similar to the way a sleeping bag warms its occupant.
