Stainless steel blade
Stainless steel blade is in comparison with carbon less rigid and easier to sharpen, but cannot have the same sharpness as the latter. Stainless steel works better against corrosion and rust. Definitively the optimal choice if you don't want to (or can't) oil the blade, if you use it at the seaside, work with food etc.
